Yippee Abigail turned one last week! She was a lot of fun on her birthday. She loved the balloons and opening the presents. In the picture you can see that she would stop and clap when everyone else clapped and cheered for her. She even wore the party hat for a little while, which surprised me.
When it was cake time Abigail could not wait to dig her fingers into the frosting. We all got a kick out of daddy taking a big bite. He said he was showing her how to do it, but we all know that he really just wanted a chance to dig in as well (after all his 1st birthday was many many many many years ago).
After a while Gayleen gave Abigail a spoon and then she really went to town. I was surprised how much cake and frosting she ate. She just kept spooning it in. There were a few who wondered if she would be on a sugar high after ward. But hey you only turn 1 once in a life time!

So Cute! What a big girl.
So sad that I missed it. I just don't get to see my nieces and nephews often enough. I wish we all lived closer together.
