Catch the Bug!!!

Okay so this post is not about the flu bug or even about my children like it normally is. Since the few people who read this blog are my family and a few friends, I am going out on a limb hoping you will get inspired.

Recently do to several personal experiences, Ed and I have caught the "Get Prepared" bug. We all can honestly see that our country and the world are struggling. Times are hard and they will probably get worse. But according to our church leaders in Conference, now is not a time to fear. Remember, "If ye are PREPARED, ye shall not fear". Ed and I are EXCITED and we wanted to share with you. As of yesterday we officially have our 3 month supply of food. I have specific meals planned with recipes and lists of ingredients. It is all stored nicely in our basement. Call us nerds, but we find great joy in going down and looking at it. :-) Catch the bug and you will understand too.

Now our focus is on long term food storage. We have some dear friends that feel very strongly that we need to get our 1 year supply of food by the end of the year (this is based on their own personal experiences that actually tie right into ours). So listen to the spirit, it is trying to tell a lot of people right now to "Get Prepared". Get your 3 month supply of food in order as soon as possible (put your tax money to good use). We have been told that if there were a plague or bio terrorist attack, the government would issue a 3 month quarantine and you would not be allowed to leave your home. Hmm, does 3 months sound familiar? Don't forget to store lots of water. Then get your long term storage (www.providentliving.org is a great source for this).

Since we care about each of you, we want you to
"Catch the Bug" and get prepared. It really is exciting and fun!! :-)

I'm almost done with mine.

I'm still trying to find good substitutes for all my fresh food needs.

We have barrels on order. I'm hoping they will be in soon so I can have my water storage too.

The trouble with the bug is that it begins to fizzle over time.

GOod for you guys. I think I have mine, but I'm not really sure what is down there. I need to get it organized like yours.

You rock Bradleys!

We have a lot of stuff but we've used so much lately that I need to replenish and become truly prepared. I guess the best thing about the food storage is you have it no matter what the need. If you have a financial glitch, you're still feeding your kids. I guess I'll get on that this week.
